... when normal changes ...

coming home tonight my dad saw a guy on the side of the road.

after coming home, he decided to go back and check on him.

i didn't know about any of this until my mom told me a little bit later.

not sure why i'm really sharing any of this. i guess i'm just proud. i started to cry when i found out. i mean ... this isn't exactly something that we do. in my years of growing up and family and church, i can't remember once when something like this happened. don't get me wrong, my dad's not a bad guy. and my family is truly wonderful.

but ... this is different. something has changed. in me. in my family. in what our lives look like. in what's affecting our hearts.

i listened to a video blog from one of my dear friends Sean sharing his heart and describing his experiences on the WR. He explains how his "normal" has changed. Not because of the "experience" of the Race or the Race itself, but because of the REALITY of the God he encountered along the way. You don't just go back to normal when you have greater. It just doesn't work. It doesn't sit right.

so .... seeing normal change. i would agree that that is what has happened in my life and the life of my family.

hands down ... it is beautiful. it's Christ become more and more real in our lives. i have to admit though, PERSONALLY, sometimes it's overwhelming. lots of times i don't know what to do with this new normal or where to go with it or what it even means half the time. it's so much bigger and greater that it's crazy.

i guess there could be worse things to be overwhelmed by. :)

I know why you are sharing any and all of this: YOU CAN'T HELP IT!!!

Acts 4:20 For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

honestly. I see the flame burning on your head! ;) Keep going, keep pressing on!

ok first I was going to tell you that I loved your post, but then I was also going to ask you how you added that flower border at the top!
